Welcome Back!

Greetings from Kansas Community Unit School District #3

Our school building is ready for another year.  It has been cleaned and updated as our maintenance crew has worked very hard this summer.  We already have some sports in full swing—Junior High Baseball and Softball, Junior High and High School Cross Country, Golf, High School Volleyball,  and High School Football.

We have some new faces in our district also.  Mr. Loy will be teaching High School History and other related classes.  Mr. Baumann will be teaching Junior High Social Studies and Language Arts.  Mr. Gibson will be teaching High School English/Language Arts.  Mrs. Buckler will be teaching Elementary Special Education.  Miss Childress will be moving to Physical Education.  Miss Hemrich will be taking Miss Childress’s spot in the library.  Mrs. Hays is back to teach our preschool again.  Mr. Boyce will be our School Counselor. We would like to welcome all of our new faculty!

We also have new “Lunch Ladies.”  Please welcome Mrs. Hammond and Mrs. Harrison to our cafeteria.  We are looking forward to some scrumptious meals!

We are excited to have our students return.  The hallways are too quiet.  If you have not registered, please do so as quickly as possible.  You may speak with Karen or Angela in the Front Office.

Parents, when you drop off in the morning, we will go back to our original way of dropping all students off at the Old Gym.  Miss Childress and Mrs. Pinnell will be there awaiting the students’ arrival.

Breakfast and lunch are free for at least one more year, so do not worry about meal fees.  We will have an Open House for 7th grade students only on Tuesday, August 16 at 9:00.  It will last approximately 45 minutes to an hour.

Have a good last few days,

Mrs. Spencer
